  • I would like to try knitting a sweater for my little grand dog, Winnie. Winnie will be spending the summer in Portland, OR, and I think her adoptive parents would get a kick out of sweater made by her favorite grandma. (Of course, I AM the favorite.) Winnie is nine pounds of cute, a little shelter dog who deserves the best:)

I was going thru my own personal little library of sewing and quilting books/magazines yesterday. I noticed I have a lot of the same. Most just explaining how to master it all. I need some new, refreshing, and fun books to keep by my side. All of these look like great fun.

  • The Irish Chain Quilts book sounds and looks fascinating to me. I have always loved an Irish chain quilt. Having only made one so far and I gave that away for a Christmas gift one year I crave to make one for myself. This book looks like it offers a variety of designs to make a special quilt for myself and, who knows, even more for gift giving too.
