I am new to quilting, have been learning for the past year. I joined a guild and also make prayer quilts for my church. Both my grandmothers hand quilted. I was always fascinated as a child when we visited to watch them as they sewed each tiny piece of fabric. The fabric and quilts in this book are all beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!

  • To the Nines: I love the layout and I think it would work semi-scrappy with each block a different blue… just keeping the back ground and borders consistent. Your fat quarter bundle with the tiny florals and shirtings is fabulous.
I so love blue and white: need to go with my collection of vintage blue and white china….

—Sharon Schipper on December 6, 2019
  • Have always been pulled to a two colored quilt, but it’s on the to do list, someday. Especially like the tree of life and the antique hunter star. To win to make that choice goodness, Christmas would be special.

—Kathy Wilson on December 6, 2019
  • I absolutely love Singing the Blues by Helen Stubbings – it reminds me of beautiful Delft china! This book is right up my alley – is there anything better than blue and white quilts?!? My grandmother used to say, "I like any color, as long as it’s blue." 🙂

—Callie Appelstein on December 6, 2019
  • Oh what a wonderful collection of blue and white quilts!! As a "newish" quilter, it’s sometimes difficult for me to imagine a pattern in a different color. This book opens up a whole new world! 🙂
First of all, being selfish – Id make the Tree of Life for me! I’ve always wanted to make this pattern but fear of it being too difficult – especially with color selection. The blue and white version is simply beautiful!
My second choice would be Baskets in Blue for my best friend. Baskets are her favorite. She’s had a rough year. She’s had a bout with breast cancer, fell and injured herself – and was still recovering from back surgery – and now a divorce. She’s very strong lady for 78 – and makes the most beautiful quilts I’ve eve seen. NO – I’d make hers first! Thanks for this wonderful book!

    —Janet L. Howard on December 6, 2019
