  • I love all the "littles" quilts, wall hangings & pin cushion in Simple Whatnots III. It is so hard to pick a favorites and several are spot on, but Cross Purposes caught my eye especially since there are no seams to match and scraps are used to make this adorable little quilt. Kim is so generous in her tips and creates magic in her quilting!

—Marge Ehlers on June 1, 2022

The Slightly Tipsy quilt also uses curvy blocks in a unique setting. I will be buying the book just to see how she does those two quilts.

    —Donna V. on June 1, 2022
  • To pick a favorite would be super hard for me as I really liked them all. They were simple but elegant of bygone eras. I would close my eyes and just let the book open, that is my first pattern to be made from the book.

—Milly Fessler on June 1, 2022
  • Hard to choose between Farmers Market and Midnight. Will have to look at stash and then decide.

—Michelle Henderson on June 1, 2022
  • Kim has hit it out of the park once again. Every one of the quilts in the new book have their own special personality and joy. If I have to pick one, it would have to be wind spinner. Her composition of color and sizes made from simple flying geese is spectacular.

—Kim Sauerwald on June 1, 2022
  • I LOVE the "Petite Sampler" simply because it has a lot of blue in it and I absolutely adore Kim Diehl’s blues. No one else has a color quite the same and when it you use it in something, it absolutely POPS!!!! I know I’ll never do a sampler quilt (much as I’d like to – but I’m older, still work parttime and I am a full-time caregiver to disabled spouse) so a sampler quilt would be perfect!! But I’d have a really hard time – the blues also pop in that one (can’t remember the name) where she uses flying goose

—Geri Alper on June 1, 2022
  • Village Square is a must, but they are all fantastic!

    —Jean A Schneider on June 1, 2022

  • Being fairly new to quilting, with still shaky skills and not much of a scrap pile,I should choose simple designs. But I love a challenge and this book has so many opportunities for learning by doing. Apple baskets appeal to me for a first project with village square on the docket next. These designs are small enough so that I could try them all!

—Martha Merriam on June 1, 2022
