    —Susan on March 14, 2017
  • Definitely Spring – the colors all coordinate. In the Autumn cover, there’s too many disparities – red and gray, autumn colors, and red, white, and blue – it doesn’t read as Fall.

—Gay Carrier on March 14, 2017
  • Spring Brights

    —Susan on March 14, 2017
  • The book comes out in October. Although the colors of autumn reflect that time of year, where I live, you don’t camp out. So the design doesn’t seem right. So I pick the bright spring colors. Camping will begin and the bright colors will give us the feeling that warm is on the way!

  • Love the design of the rows in the Spring Brights, but the Autumn Harvest cover jumps right out at you…and should jump out of the shelf as it won’t be blending in with the other books on the market today…you can’t let the market’s popular color choices dictate the power the cover needs to reach the market!

    —Debbie on March 14, 2017

  • Autumn Harvest

    —cheryl on March 14, 2017
  • Spring Brights for me. Autumn Harvest looks a little drab for me…although I do love the little houses at the top of the AH version. Congratulations on was is sure to be another great publication.

  • Depends when it will hit the shops.

    Within weeks – brights (Spring)
In a couple of months – brights (Spring)
August onwards – autumnal colours (Autumn)

  • I am a traditional quilter, by far I would choose Fall, that’s what we call up here in New England!! It’s one of our five seasons ,spring, well no so much, mud, it goes on and on!!!! summer, one month long, fall, get out the rake, Winter, it lasts for ever!!

    —Gail on March 14, 2017

  • I like the Spring Brights the best. It so bright and cheery!

    —Mary-Betty Sylvia on March 14, 2017
  • Autumn gets my vote. I’ve seen too many cutesy spring collections over the last year or so, and I would ignore the spring cover as just more of the same.

—Dawn Reins on March 14, 2017
  • Both are great, but I think you will sell more with the spring brights. And the spring colors seem to tie into to trailer and round flower rows that are on both covers.

—Ramona Chester on March 14, 2017
  • I like the autumn cover

    —Barbara on March 14, 2017

  • I’d go for the Autumn colors. Too many quilt books now focus on spring or light colors.

    —Ann O. on March 14, 2017
  • I like the Autumn Harvest. It has more of an all seasons feel than the Spring Brights. Spring Brights appears to blur some of the rows. The rows are more distinctive in the Autumn Harvest.

    —Anne on March 14, 2017
  • I can see why you are having a problem deciding! Initially, I liked the 1st one bc the colors are more vibrant; but the colors of the 2nd one seemed to me to match the theme better. Can you put 1 on the front & 1 on the back? Choices, choices! I want 1 no matter which you select!

—Angelia Ulrich on March 14, 2017
  • Spring Brights, without a doubt!! Love the cheery colors!

—Bonnie Leazer on March 14, 2017
  • Spring

—Chua Ying Ling on March 14, 2017
  • The autumn harvest color way is spot on because it’s the second season of the first book and being released in the fall, plus rows are more distinttive… accentuating the theme of the book, however ……

Color the row of dead flowers with the watering can to look like they are alive.

—Marianne from TN on March 14, 2017
  • I pick the Autumn Harvest colors…my favorite time of year!

—Vickie Bell on March 14, 2017

  • Autumn Harvest ….it is such a different look compared to your first issue of All in a Row.

—Carol Ann on March 14, 2017
  • Spring Brights–cheery, inviting colors

    —Enid on March 14, 2017
  • Autumn Harvest gets my vote. The darker colors stand out better and I like the designs better than on the Spring cover.

    —Linda N on March 14, 2017
  • I prefer the contrast of most of the Autumn rows against the light background, where the Spring rows, especially the top two, seem to fade out (missing those golden daffodils and crocuses and purple lilacs?). That said, however, the Autumn flowers and watering can row seems too dark — perhaps not enough different colors? — and the top row could use a bit more brightness of color also. This Autumn seems to be missing the exuberance of orange/gold/red/green foliage and blue skies that I see in northern Ohio every Fall.

    —Jane on March 14, 2017
  • I like the Autumn Harvest as there are too many Springs covers out there already and I like the colors of both and designs!

—Alice Brooks on March 14, 2017
  • Spring, but both are really pretty!

—Pamela Miller on March 14, 2017
  • Why stop with 2? You have 5 rows under the title. We have 4 seasons. Why not celebrate all 4 seasons, each with its own theme and best colors, and tie them together with the 5th row? Or 4 rows – 1 for each season – with unifying sashing and borders. There are so many great colors in each season I’m sure you can get strong rows with good contrast that play well together and invite us to explore the book’s contents.

    —Jane on March 14, 2017
  • Much more pleasing to the eye in my opinion.

    —Elaine on March 14, 2017

    —Susan on March 14, 2017
  • While Spring Brights is beautiful (it is a soft spring bright) Autumn Harvest has much more contrast and would stand out better on a store shelf. So, I am going to have to vote for Autumn Harvest since an eye for marketing is needed when doing a book cover.

  • Autumn Harvest is my preference.
While it didn’t affect my choice, I did noticed that the Spring brights has a blue strip for the very top border, blue in the blocks under the Moda All Stars logo, blue title, blue "23 strip by …", blue strip with "compiled by". It all blends and the title recedes rather than coming forward. The color selections for the Autumn Harvest are more distinctive – brown, grey, olive – and make the title come forward.
