  • Stitches to Savor, for sure! I started out as a stitcher, I was actually very accomplished in hand stitching in my early twenties, but hand arts lost it’s "public appeal" after a bit…it was looked at as "granny" even though it was beautiful. Moved on to quilting (because THAT’S not "granny", right???)… anyway, I appreciate heading back to my stitching roots in style…and no one carries it off better than Sue Spargo. Stitching + Quilting = so much fun!

  • I love change, but what I don’t like about it is that I just get used to one thing and then it changesa and I have to learn everything over again. The new site is very nice though. I love Martingale books. They are really good books and well published. The thing I like the best is….I always looks inside the book before ordering and it’s so nice to see if there is anything I would be interested in. Then when I get the book, there is even more things that you don’t see on the computer. It’s such a nice surprise. Love your customer service also. In fact I love everything about Martingale. Thank you for everything.

  • I would chose the Patchwork calendar to give to a very special friend. This friend and her 97 year old mother turn out hundreds of quilts in a year, most of which are donated to those in need of comfort.
That may seem like an exaggeration, yet it is not. They sent 50 quilts to a community in my province of British Columbia for those who lost their homes in last summer’s wildfires, another 25 to patients receiving chemo treatment at our local hospital, five to homeless people, 20 to referee families and several more to family members, who in turn probably donate them as well.

—Carol McGregor on August 2, 2018
