Babies! Oh, how we love them. Those chubby cheeks, their itty-bitty toes, and that special baby smell are just the best thing ever. I sure wish my kids were as ready to have kids as I am to be an Oma. I will just have to be patient for a few more years. In the meantime, I’ll have to be content to snuggle my friends’ grandbabies.

It seems like late summer is prime time for baby arrivals. It’s so easy to get caught up in summer activities only to find yourself scrambling to get that gift done, so we thought we’d help you out by putting a few of our baby quilt books on sale NOW. Take a look:

  • I am sewing for ‘me’ this summer. I’m almost finished with a king size quilt, "Women of the Bible" for my best friend of 60 years. As soon as I finish it, I’ll start working on "Sedona Stripes" for my double bed. My daughters bought the kit for me for Mother’s Day. :>)

  • The sewing process is just for me. I’ll figure out later what to do with the actual products.

  • I will be sewing a baby quilt for a new granddaughter due in September, then starting on some winter flannel quilts for grandkids.

  • I am our quilt guild’s charity quilt coordinator so this summer I will be be packaging up kits for members to take home and make care quilts for the various charities we support. I make a variety of kits so members can pick up a quick one hour sewing job or make a larger quilt from start to finish. My goal is to have 50 kits ready for our first meeting in September so that will involve a lot of designing, cutting and packaging for me this summer.
