  • My local guild will be meeting to work on quilts for the community baby shower. We will work, visit, laugh and enjoy lunch together!
    A wonderful day!

Sounds just perfect, Mary Lou – enjoy! –Jenny

  • I was planning to go a local quilt shop for demos and sales until family needs got in the way. A 6 hr round trip drive for a funeral. I do drive by one “Top 10” quilt shop. I see a need for bathroom break right at that moment.
But I packed many UFO’s for next week when I will have time for myself. Family always comes before quilting.

Have a great National Quilt Day.

  • Since it is sandwiched between a child’s birthday and my anniversary, and beautiful spring weather, I couldn’t ask for more fun than this. Of course, I am beginning a fun quilt for a precious granddaughter and doing a little shopping as well with my granddaughter!

  • I will be attending a scrappy quilt workshop with some of friends from my quilt club and guild. Feeling lucky!

  • My Quilts of Valor is having a sew-in tomorrow. There are usually 12 to 20 of us that regularly meet once a month on a Saturday. We bring baked treats and our sewing machines and it’s a great day every time.

  • Thank you for the wonderful collection of tutorials…..i think for me, part of the appeal of quilting is that there is ALWAYS something to learn…i have many of Martingale’s books on my shelf and use them often. you are a wonderful resource.

  • I’ll be running in a 15k trail race and when I get finished, I’m going to go jump in the jacuzzi and then snuggle up under a warm handmade quilt!

  • I didn’t realize until just now that it’s National Quilting Day. I will definitely have to sketch out my next little quilt and start working on it.

I also plan to visit the local 4-H Art Show at the mall. Maybe it will provide me with some inspiration.

  • Have my house cleaned, most of my laundry done and the hubby will be busy so….I am going on a road trip with some of my quilty friends to visit a few not so local quilt stores. Yippy!!!

    —Wendy on March 18, 2016
  • I have spent the day cleaning a storage area so I can move my overflowing quilts to a space so I can see them, found them when I want to display them for the season. I am only half done so another day maybe I will get it under control.

—Linda Christianson on March 18, 2016
  • Take a break from gardening… even if it’s a perfect day outside!…. and piece quilts all day long, sun-up to sun-down!

—Marianne in TN on March 18, 2016
  • I’ll be reading through some of these tutorials, then figuring out which of my tops to quilt next, then fondling some fabric for a new project (like I need one…there are so many to finish, but I hate the thought of the fabric feeling neglected), and then undoubtedly sewing on a work in progress. Thank you for so many great tutorials!

    —Carole S. on March 19, 2016
  • Shopping! I need more supplies…hehe!

—Renee Welton on March 20, 2016
  • I worked on 2 different quilts: one was simple sewing of half square triangles. The other was paper piecing a complicated block. Accomplished my goals. I just love it when the quilt starts to reveal itself!

  • "And since I’ve no place to go… Let me sew, Let me sew, Let me sew"! I am watching all your (very helpful) tutorials, and sewing some fun blocks to make a backing. Great day!
