And fifth, they are less expensive to make!

We sleep under a quilt every evening and I have started doing small quilts so I can look at them everyday on my table, dresser etc. I have completed a couple and they are used. More cost effective to give 7-10 away to my family everyother year.

  • I love mini and small quilts because they work up quickly and are fun to decorate with!

    Gina on July 25, 2019
  • Small ("mini") quilts are a "thing" now. I was drawn to miniature quilts from when I started quilting back in the 80’s. I have every magazine I have ever found online or in stores on miniature quilts and a fascinated by reducing quilt designs down. While "mini" quilts do not technically classify as "miniature", the small size is inspirational regardless of the definition.
While I will always want a larger size quilt for sleeping under, a small quilt definitely has a place in my home.

    —Peggy on July 25, 2019
