Martingale's Quirky Question

Thanks for stopping by for the weekly Quirky Question—where questions are just for fun, your answers are always welcome, and you could win an eBook for free!

Color for the Terrified QuilterToday we’re spotlighting Color for the Terrified Quilter by Ionne McCauley and Sharon Pederson (eBook only). Below, see a slideshow of quilts from the book.

It all starts at the quilt shop: you spot your signature color in a fabric and—BOOM!—it’s love at first sight. You happily welcome the fabric to your stash. Take a glimpse at that stash right now and then tell us:

Which colors play a leading role in your stash—and which are a no-show?

Post your answer in the comments before noon (PST) on Monday, February 24, for your chance to win. The winning answer will be posted on Wednesday, February 26, along with the next question.

Last week’s Quirky Question was, “We want details! How did you fall in love with quilting?” Here’s the winning comment, from Mary:

“When I was a little girl I remember reading the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I loved the books and in one of them she wrote about how her sister Mary was making nine-patch quilt blocks and she was making Dove in the Window blocks. I thought, ‘If she can do it, so can I.’ I asked my mom to help me and in no time I was hand-piecing my own nine-patch blocks. I made twenty of them and my mom helped me finish them into my first quilt, all before I turned 13! I hung it on the clothesline, took a picture of it and sent it to a very proud grandma, and have been quilting ever since!”

Congratulations, Mary—look for an email about your free eBook.
