Quirky Question
Thanks for joining us for our weekly Quirky Question—where the question’s just for fun, your answer’s always welcome, and you could win an eBook for free!

Last week’s Quirky Question was, “As you glance around, what’s one ordinary object that’s displaying color that pleases your eye?” Your answers were so descriptive and inviting, we want to see! So we’ll be right over. Oh wait, we’re at work. But in our imaginations we’re dropping by to see your red airplane kite, neon green dish, cobalt blue glass, chocolate-brown drapes, calico cat, sage green walls, lilac bush, photos of loved ones, bright red computer, aqua blue sewing table, and all the other colorful things you described. Thanks for a lovely visit.

And now, here’s the winning response and next Quirky Question!

 Winning response

My favorite coffee mug happens to be on my desk today. I like variety, so all my coffee mugs are different. This particular mug is my favorite because it has an "all-around" pattern of three flowers and three leafy sprigs. The colors pop and the designs remind me of appliqué on quilts.

The mug has been dubbed "Happy Mug." I don’t use this mug every day, since the mugs are stored on the shelf in whatever random order they come out of the dishwasher. So now I have added a little game to my daily morning coffee ritual. Whenever I happen to pick up "Happy Mug," I yell, "Happy Mug!" My dog gets all excited and runs around, which makes me laugh, and coffee just tastes extra special that morning!

Last week’s winning response was sent to us by Crazy Cuban. Congratulations, Crazy Cuban! We’ve emailed you instructions on how to redeem your gift.

This week’s new Quirky Question

When packing for a quilting (knitting/crochet) retreat/bee/gathering, have you ever forgotten something important, and if not, how do you remember everything?

Post your answer in the comments anytime before noon (PST) Monday, May 28, for your chance to win. We’ll post the winning response Wednesday, May 30, along with the next question. We look forward to reading your answer!
