Martingale's Quirky Question

Happy Halloween! Thanks for stopping by for our weekly Quirky Question—where the question’s just for fun, your answer’s always welcome, and you could win an eBook for free!

I Feel Like a Witch quilt(Left: “I Feel Like a Witch” by Mary Lou Weidman, from the book Out of the Box: Unleash Your Creativity through Quilts.)

The busiest time of year is almost upon us, and Halloween serves as a signal of what’s to come: gatherings, celebrations, parties, events, outings, and all-around merriment. Of course, with the merriment comes the time crunch: cooking, cleaning, shopping, decorating, wrapping, traveling, and more. Sometimes, don’t you just wanna sneak away from it all—just for a bit—and stitch?

That question brings us to this week’s question:

What tricks have you dreamed up—during the holidays or any time of year—to carve out a few extra minutes to sew?

Post your answer in the comments before noon (PST) on Monday, November 5, for your chance to win. The winning comment will be posted on Wednesday, November 7, along with the next question.

Last week’s question was, “Without revealing any colors, how would you describe the project you’re working on right now?” Here’s last week’s winning response:

“Leaves, lots of leaves. Exploding from the air, ruffling the ground, crunching underfoot. A sea of sunshine, fire and woods.”

Last week’s winning comment was written by Jocelyn. Congratulations, Jocelyn! Look for an email about how to get your free eBook.
