Quirky Question, April 18 (+ giveaway!)

Posted by on April 18, 2012, in quirky question

Thanks for joining us for our weekly Quirky Question—where the question’s just for fun, your answer’s always welcome, and you could win an eBook for free!

Last week you shared all sorts of things that fabric/yarn says, sings, whispers, and shouts to you, sometimes with a French accent. (It’s ok, I’ve been hearing things too. Our office walls are padded with quilts that keep speaking to me.)

And now, here’s last week’s winning response and the next Quirky Question!

Last week’s Quirky Question

When you find fabric or yarn that speaks to you, what does it say (and how long has this been going on)?

Winning response

I encounter a lot of dishonest fabric. It says “you can’t live without me” or “you really DO have room for me in your sewing room” or “you will use me in your next project.” Lies, I tell you. But I fall for them every time, just like I have for 10 or 15 years. And that is why I have a big, beautiful stash and not nearly enough time to use it!

Last week’s winning response was sent to us by Lisa Marie. Congratulations, Lisa Marie! We’ve emailed you instructions on how to redeem your gift.

This week’s new Quirky Question

What inspired you to make your very first quilt or knitted/crocheted project?

Post your answer in the comments anytime before noon (PST) Monday, April 23, for your chance to win. We’ll post the winning response Wednesday, April 25, along with the next question. We look forward to reading your answer!
