No Black Friday sale. Here’s why.

Small Business SaturdayThis year at, we won’t be hosting a Black Friday sale. Why, you ask? We want to instead support the thousands of independent quilt and yarn shops that are hosting their own sales this weekend.

Think back to the last time you visited your local shop: the tidy rows of crisp fabric bolts; the satisfying heft of a fat-quarter stack; the knobby textures on a knit-and-purl swatch; the explosion of creativity in projects hung from every nook and cranny. Your visit on Small Business Saturday will inspire and delight you—and if we all head to our local shops together, our combined visits can make a big impact.

When we return on Monday, we’ll welcome you to our annual Cyber Monday sale with great deals you won’t want to miss. We hope you’ll stop by (sign up for emails and we’ll send you a reminder on Monday).

Until then, your local quilt and yarn shops are calling to you. Tomorrow, show your support for small business and your community. Shop small, shop smart—shop with your heart!—and visit your local quilt or yarn shop for great deals, new ideas, and stellar service.
