Which precut do you consistently crave: fat quarters, Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes or…? Tell us in the comments!

5″ charm packs and the mini charms are my favorites. I love making miniature civil war replicas.
—Patricia D. Roberts on August 21, 2015Fat quarters, although I have recently been on the hunt for batik charms.
—Whiskers on August 21, 2015I love jelly rolls! Lovely quilts shown here!
—Phyllis Malone on August 21, 2015Fat Quarters, Fat Quarters, and many more Fat Quarters. I’m fairly new to quilting this is my second year of taking classes. But, I find you can get more variety of fabric from fat quarters then by buying by the yard. I also love when the fat quarters are all bundled by color to match each other, as I still have problems trying to match colors. I can actually say I am hooked on quilting I have two I am working on plus the Kim Diehl projects from my quilt class. Can’t wait for winter then I’ll have more time to quilt.
—Sue Bruhn on August 21, 2015I got my first jelly roll on the clearance at JoAnn’s and I was hooked. Even though it was cut a bit wonky, the little picket fence quilt went together so quickly! I was inspired to do a jelly roll race quilt, this time I cut my own 2.5 strips from stash, and put in 2.5 square dividers and it was lovely… Best of all, put a wavy strip in the middle (thank you Fons and Porter and Missouri Star!) and applique a sleepy owl on a branch! most loved and appreciated by the little boy who received him! Then a watery green batik jelly roll into a race quilt with an appliqued green frog…fun stuff! Now I have a lovely layer cake that I’ve bought the other background to go with, and it will be a lovely star from Missouri Star tutorials….
—Sharon Schipper on August 21, 2015My favorites would be layer cakes charms and jelly rolls in that order. Yiphee!!!!!
—Debbie Waldrop on August 21, 2015My favorites would be layer cakes, charms and jelly rolls in that order. Yiphee!!!!!
—Debbie Waldrop on August 21, 2015I would have to say FQs but every once in a while I love the mini charms too.
—Michaelle L on August 21, 2015Mostly Jelly Rolls so far but I am going to branch out and try some of the other precuts. It’s all still a little new to me, but I enjoy having the whole line together to work from.
—Sharilyn on August 21, 2015Love Layer Cakes!
—Debbie Holley on August 21, 2015I prefer fat quarters because they give me more options. thanks for the giveaway.
—Donna on August 21, 2015I love them all, but if I had to choose, right now I’d choose layer cakes. I’m yearning to piece something the old fashioned way with templates, so layer cakes would be perfect. I really like the patterns from this book, though, so maybe templates could wait.
—Lisa on August 21, 2015I cannot resist jelly rolls. Then I don’t know what to do with them! I am almost as bad for buying fat quarters.
—Leslie Holm on August 21, 2015I find that I crave Fat Quarters the most! I love the "possibilities" of a bit more of fabric that the FQ gives.
—susie on August 21, 2015I really love layer cakes, they give you so many options for patterns.
—Gladys Bacon-Rust on August 21, 2015I work a lot with 2-1/2″ strips, but have never bought a jelly roll. Might give them a try one of these days. Have only purchased charm squares so far.
—Sandy W. on August 21, 2015I have jelly rolls and need layer cakes to go with them.
—nancy in IN on August 21, 2015Fat quarters and jelly rolls are the precuts I seem to gravitate to most often .
—Sherrie Holland on August 21, 2015Fat Quarter bundles are my down fall.
—DebrafromMD on August 21, 2015I have always loved fat quarters, and the more the merrier! Have tried the jelly roll/layer cake but always not felt secure on whether I have enough of each? Probably me, because the books show beautiful and fast quilts with just those? I do have one quilt that I have purchased the jelly roll/layer cake, etc. but have yet to start, and yes, I bought additional fabric, which we quilters never have enough of, correct? May just have to purchase your book?
—Patsy B. on August 21, 2015I love charms and jelly rolls for their convenience mainly. I have arthritis in my hands and wrists and while I can still cut some, it is so much easier and less painful to use the pre-cuts when I can afford them.
—Judy Pennington on August 21, 2015I love jelly rolls and fat quarters, can’t get enough of them.
—connie b on August 21, 2015I really like charms and layer cakes the best. So fun to see a little bit of every fabric in the line when I buy them.
—Nancy on August 21, 2015I really like the jelly rolls for their versatility of making strip sets or 2 1/2″ squares (mini charms)or rectangles and so on. So many choices!
—Dianne Finnegan on August 21, 2015Fat quarters are my favorites. For years I subscribed to a monthly fat quarter club from a popular quilting catalog. I finally had to stop that because I got too far behind. Now I’m trying to make enough charm quilts to use up the stash – so I can start getting the monthly at quarter collections again. I’m having a lot of fun with those dozens and dozens of fat quarters.
—Nelda Mohr on August 21, 2015I love my jelly rolls! But have a little trouble with actually unrolling them! 5″ charms are so much fun, too! A taste of each fabric to hold in my hand. Mush I really choose? Thank you for this opportunity and the peek at the quilts!! pj stitches!
—Paulette Bergman on August 21, 2015Honestly I love all of them but jelly rolls are my favorite.
—Chris on August 22, 2015Jelly Rolls always tempt me!
—Marty on August 22, 2015Layer Cakes are the bomb! I love them for my oversized quilts, bases for applique blocks, or the perfect size for rag quilts.
—Debbie Wolgemuth on August 22, 2015I absolutely love Jelly Rolls 2 1/2 inch strip sets. I love the way they are packaged and try to use them in the order in which they occur when making items such as a Jelly Roll Race quilt.
—Gail D. on August 22, 2015Fat quarters all the way! They are much more versatile and can be purchased separately from the collection.
—Linda Towers on August 22, 2015Have to try some other precuts, but like to pick my own fabrics.
I tend to buy mostly charm packs.
—Laura Arnold on August 22, 2015love the way blocks are commbined to make larger quilts.
—lynne on August 22, 2015I love using fat quarters because I can use a lot of them and still have some left over for another quilt.
—Lynn Franklin on August 23, 2015I love layer cakes, but actually the most important thing is colour. I will happily collect fat quarters or any kind of precut if the colours are good.
