🍁 Everyone, everyone, all for fall! 🍁 Autumn’s warmth and whimsy ahead (+ giveaway!)

Welcome the autumn season with warm-and-woolly wonders from the best-selling author of A Change of Seasons!

All for Fall

In All for Fall (don’t you just love that title?), Bonnie Sullivan shares classic patchwork projects in harvest hues, including lap quilts, pillows, and runners. But that’s not all! She’ll also inspire you to delight in playful nods to the lighter side of the season—grinning cats, squirrels, jack-o’-lanterns, and more will inspire smiles all season long.

Projects from All for Fall

Made with a mix of crisp cottons, warm wools, and Bonnie’s Woolies flannels by Maywood Studio, these pieced and appliquéd projects will make friends and family fall … for fall! (Full-sized appliqué patterns are included too.)

We’re excited to have Bonnie Sullivan here as a guest writer to tell us about her enthusiasm for fall!

Bonnie SullivanI love the beauty and magic of each season. Fall with its crisp, cool weather, changing colors, and often blue skies is one of my favorites. The season conjures up thoughts of running through piles of freshly raked leaves, dressing up for Halloween, gathering with family and friends for Thanksgiving, enjoying warm fires that take the chill out of the air, and smelling hot cider and pumpkin pie.

The inspiration for my designs comes from many sources, one of the greatest being nature. Every day, I see something new. In fall, I found inspiration for one of my projects in what I call the Dance of the Autumn Leaves:

I noticed how a gust of wind swept up a few freshly fallen leaves and sent them dancing down the street. Soon there were myriad leaves in various shapes and colors all joining together in their autumn dance.

Over the years I’ve designed several projects that revolve around this special time of year. All for Fall is the culmination of that process. You’ll find four cozy flannel quilts in rich, warm autumnal colors that are sure to keep the chill at bay:

There are whimsical wool penny rugs, pillows, and a table runner, all with a vintage feel that captures the charm of the season:

A Halloween stitchery mixes silk matka fabric, wool appliqué, and beautiful embroidery to capture the spooky delight of the holiday:

And two stuffed, happy jack-o’-lanterns are easy to make and will help you celebrate the season.
